About the firm

Audit & assurance

Eight engagements, one standard of care.

Statutory & External Audit

An independent opinion on your annual financial statements, prepared under International Standards on Auditing.

  • Planning & materialityWe learn how your business makes money, then set materiality and identify the balances most likely to be misstated.
  • Controls walkthroughWe trace the key cycles (sales, purchases, payroll and cash) to see where controls are working and where they rely on people.
  • Substantive testingWe confirm balances with banks and counterparties, vouch samples to source documents and test cut-off and valuation.

Free Zone Company Audit

Annual audits for free zone entities, in the format your authority needs for licence renewal.

  • Eligibility check firstEach free zone keeps its own list of approved auditors. Before we sign an engagement, we confirm that your authority will accept our report.
  • Filing-ready formatWe follow the authority's template and include any declarations or supplementary schedules it asks for.
  • Related-party focusIntercompany and shareholder balances get a thorough review because free zone filings and Corporate Tax both look at them closely.

Internal Audit & Controls Review

A risk-based review of your processes and controls, so you find leakage, errors and fraud risk before anyone else does.

  • Risk assessmentWe map your key processes and rank them by financial impact and likelihood, so we spend our time where the exposure is.
  • Process testingWe test procure-to-pay, order-to-cash, payroll, inventory and treasury against your own policies and good practice.
  • Segregation of dutiesWe look for places where one person can raise, approve and pay, which is a common source of loss in growing SMEs.

Audited Financials for Corporate Tax

Audited financial statements for businesses that must file them under UAE Corporate Tax rules.

  • Threshold reviewWe confirm whether the audit requirement applies to you for the tax period, and whether it applies to each entity in a group.
  • IFRS-based accountsCorporate Tax starts from accounting profit under IFRS, so we make sure recognition and measurement are right before any tax adjustment.
  • Tax-sensitive balancesWe give extra attention to related-party transactions, transfer pricing support, qualifying income for free zone entities and provisions.

Forensic Audit & Fraud Investigation

Confidential investigation of suspected fraud, misappropriation or financial irregularities.

  • Discreet scopingWe agree what is suspected, who knows about it and how evidence will be preserved before anyone is approached.
  • Transaction tracingWe follow funds through bank statements, ledgers and supporting documents, and rebuild records where they are missing.
  • Data analyticsWe screen full ledgers for duplicate payments, round-sum entries, unusual vendors and entries posted outside working hours.

UAE Corporate Tax

When the audit becomes mandatory.

Ministerial Decision No. 82 of 2023 requires audited financial statements from:

  • Taxable persons with revenue above AED 50 million in a tax period
  • Every Qualifying Free Zone Person, whatever its revenue

The return is due nine months after year end, so plan your audit early.

Corporate Tax audits

Method

Five stages.
No surprises.

Clear requests at the start. Findings discussed with you before anything is signed.

Our full approach
  1. I

    Scope & engagement

We start with a short call about your business, your deadline and who will rely on the report. You then receive a fixed-fee proposal and an engagement letter that sets out responsibilities.

  2. II

    Planning & risk assessment

We study your industry, systems and prior-year issues, set materiality and pick the areas that need the most testing.

  3. III

    Fieldwork

We send a clear request list, then carry out the testing on-site or remotely: confirmations, vouching, analytics and stock attendance where needed.

  4. IV

    Findings & clearance

Nothing in our report will surprise you. We discuss proposed adjustments and control points with management before anything is finalised.

  5. V

    Report & management letter

You receive the signed auditor's report and financial statements, plus a management letter with practical recommendations.

Questions

Asked & answered.

Anything else? Call +971 55 773 4640.

Is an audit mandatory for my company?

In many cases, yes. UAE mainland companies are generally required to appoint an auditor, most free zones require audited financial statements for licence renewal, and Corporate Tax rules require them for businesses above AED 50m revenue and for Qualifying Free Zone Persons. Tell us your licence type and we will confirm what applies.

How long does an audit take?

It depends on the size of the business and how ready its records are. For an SME with closed books and organised supporting documents, fieldwork is often completed in one to three weeks. We give you a timetable before we start.

What will you need from us?

Usually your trial balance and general ledger, bank statements and reconciliations, sales and purchase invoices, key contracts, the fixed asset register, inventory records, and your trade licence and MOA. We send a tailored request list at the start of each engagement.

How are your fees set?

Fees depend on scope: revenue, transaction volume, number of entities and locations, and the state of your records. We quote a fixed fee in the engagement letter, so you know the cost before we begin.

Our books aren't up to date. Can you still help?

Professional independence rules stop us from preparing the accounts we audit. We'll tell you what needs to be completed before the audit, and you or your accountant can close the books.

Can you work remotely?

Yes. Most testing can be done on securely shared data. We attend in person for stock counts, cash counts and walkthroughs where they add value.
